Live inside of hope

What do I hope for? Or, better yet, what do I hope IN?

I think we make the decision to hope. We make the choice to put our faith in Something outside ourselves and our situations, to grasp to the reality that things can be (and eventually will be) different.

I have recently discovered JJ Heller, an amazing musician that sings to the heart of the matter. Her songs are simplistic truths, full of worship and deep surrender.

Go to her facebook and click "Your Hands." This song got my through this week. Though, I have to admit, there were a couple times listening to it at my desk this week I almost cried.

God promises to endure our pain with us. And even when we walk in the desert, filled with pain and isolation and uncertainty - He is there. He promises to be there. That doesn't mean it won't hurt or the desert won't be long. But it means we are not alone. And that certainty is the strongest feeling in the world.

"When my world is shaking, heaven stands. When my heart is breaking I never leave Your hands."

What do I hope in? Him.
