Go Compassion!

Good news from Charity Navigator today:

Compassion International, the world’s largest Christian child development organization, is in the top one percent of charities in terms of fiscal responsibility, according to an independent charity evaluator.

For eight straight years, Compassion has been awarded the highest rating - four stars - by Charity Navigator for responsible management of its finances.

“Only one percent of the charities we rate have received at least eight consecutive four-star evaluations, indicating that Compassion International consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way, and out performs most other charities in America," said Charity Navigator president and CEO Ken Berger, in a statement released Wednesday. "This 'exceptional' designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Compassion International from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust."
