Public Intellectuals

FP released their list of The World’s Top 20 Public Intellectuals

500,000 people voted from a list of a hundred people with the opportunity for write-ins.

It's an impressive list with notable names excluded. It's a breath of fresh air to get passed the hype and realize who is really changing things. I think Al Gore is the only disappointment (but that's another post for a later time).

Most impressive - my votes were: Amartya Sen (#16), Bernard Lewis (13), Orhan Pumak (4) and Muhammad Yunus (
2), along with Jared Diamond (31), and Jeffrey Sachs (48).

Take a look.
